ghosts occurrences and when they happen - 2005/01/16 22:26
re: time of year optimal for ghost activity. i've found throughout the years that their activity dosen't seem to happen at certain times of the year. i know that my abilities to sense them and understand them are greater after the shortest day of the year up until about the spring equinox., then again at the fall equinox. i'm not into astrology, cults or anything like that so i don't have any beliefs in such as high holy days like they might. i have found that the ides of march are significant days for bad things to happen whether i realize it's that time of year or not. 13 whether it occurs on a friday or not does hold more energy than other day. don't know why this is so but i've tested it. spiritually speaking i'm healthier on 13 than any other day. it's like i'm energized. i wondered why that would be so and did some fascinating reading on the subject. pagan religions for many many years considered 13 an energy day. what that means i don't know, lol. i've seen ghosts during the night, the day, during blue skys and sunshine. don't know about rainy days. it may impede them. i've noticed static electricity in abundance while they are present. when i walk into a cold spot and touch my finger to someone during cold weather, inside of course, you can actually see a very strong spark between my fingertip and the person, and you can hear it very well. yep, my life has been very strange to say the least. i believe in life after this life because i've experienced it. i've been persecuted for telling people about it but hey at least i told them, they can't say that no one told them right?! lol
as for the two kids in my uncles' basement with red glowing eyes. all i can say is it scared the crap outta me. i got into my stance which i used for stray dogs, and left the immediate area quickly! lol they had on clothing which looked like early 1900's, victorian period. they did look at my brother and i and they were trembling with fear looking at us. little did they suspect that i was near to wetting down my leg myself! lol i remember telling them when i saw them do this that it was ok, we wouldn't hurt them. they still shook. i will tell the full account sometime but for now my bed is calling to me. good nite all and god bless you all according to his name and his word. amen.
thanks,

So, is the 'Ides of March' on the 13th or 15th? Or 13 bad, 15 good? I'll have to watch this since March is upon us now. Interesting.

hi,
the ides of march as described by the ancient romans was the 13, 14, and 15 of march. this is the time period when caesar was stabbed to death by the senators with little knifes. usually the emporers had the good sense to jump out the window after drinking poison. yes, it's strange i do remember something from high school! lol

Hi Ho,
I don't care for the number 13 in any respect. The number has always bothered me. 11 is ok, but we could do without 13.
Rain dosen't stop these guys. Not indoors.

hi lostamerican,
yep, 13 isn't something i'd call lucky. when i was 13, on a friday the 13th, i went for a bike ride to the small town near us with my brothers. the paper route i'd just run had been hard on such a hot day and they tried to lose me once in town. they rounded a corner that they should have stopped and looked for traffic at and dummie me, i went right along with it. i was going as fast as i could on my 10 speed to look up in time to see a pickup which was flying in the cross direction and we were going to connect. in my mind i imagined doing a dukes' of hazard leap with my bike but i had no ramp, lol. then reality kicked in and i said hurriedly, "oh, god help!" i knew where i'd end up, under his front wheels. i dropped my feet to the ground and skidded in the gravel on the pavement. when i saw the truck bed side coming suddenly closer i closed my eyes and thought, "here i come god, unless you do something!" when i opened my eyes i felt horrible but was still upright for about a second then i fell over like the little guy on the tricycle on laugh-in, lol. i still don't remember hitting the ground. when i woke up i was on the sidewalk and thought i was delusional because there was a baseball team all standing around with their bats and gloves. it's was surreal to me and so i thought i must be asleep or dead. i asked my brother if this was heaven and he said no. the highway patrolman asked me why i thought it was heaven and i said because there's a baseball team standing over there like they're getting ready to play ball and it just looks out of place. i told him it looked like a major event or parade. he laughed and said that the game had just started when the ambulance was called. nothing much happens in that town so the teams and the audience came to watch what was going on where i was at. people sat on their porches in good weather to watch the traffic go by. there were only 3 channels on the tv at that time, lol. so, there i was, in my 15 minutes of fame, lol, and it even made the paper. one of my classmates was riding her bike to school one morning when a car came up from behind to pass her. she instinctively pulled over towards the curb and didn't see the parked car in time to stop. she broke her arm. they never let her live that one down. they said at least i'd hit a vehicle that was moving and at a blind alley! lol her accident was also, on a friday the 13th. she asked me if that meant we were cursed, lol
i always considered the 13th a good test taking day as we had alot of superstitous classmates. this meant i had a better chance at the grading curve, lol. the superstitions they believed in lessened their confidence to pass the test and as such spent their time talking about the date when they should've been studying. i did well to exploit this little tidbit of information.
now, i've learned that religion from way back has always considered 5 to be the number of man, 6 is evil ,lol, 7 is jesus, and 8 is perfection. i learned in english lit. class in h.s. that 5 is man because man has five fingers on each hand, and has 5 major appendages, arms, legs, head..... i've no idea about how they came up with 6, 7 or 8. i know that in celtic/keltic lore numbers are a big thing to them. numerology also has some definite ideas about what certain numbers mean when connected to certain things. where this all came from is anyone's guess.
as for ghosts when it's raining, yes, i've remembered one i saw on a rainy day. it was a cloud of indefinite shape which opened the door to come in and shut it behind him. my cousin said his name was oscar and he was shy. she introduced me to him and this cloud went back and forth in front of where the tv was sitting across the room from us. this was a large room with very high ceilings and very long windows. even during a gloomy rainy day you still had alot of light in that room. it wasn't an a whispy mist but looked like a white fluffy cloud. when she said he was going i said goodbye oscar and the cloud mover towards the door where it opened it again, went out, and closed it behind him. i didn't see anything visual about the cloud to suggest this was a ghost except that it opened and shut the door. i asked her why he bothered with the door at all. she said he still felt that he was alive. i asked her when she was gonna tell him he wasn't. she said when she has he'd leave and not come back for quite a while. she said she didn't mind this ghost's company because he wasn't trying to take her pillow in the middle of the night like the one upstairs. i told her i'd be wary as the cloud might not be all it's capable of. over the years she still talked to him, she was an only child, and this comforted her. her mother didn't know about him but her dad did. he's part indian and according to him it's something native americans do, talking to the dead. if her mom had found out it would hit the fan quick and hard. she was a christian and they didn't believe in talking to the dead when you could see them.

Hi Patty!
Man, you have all the luck. I never landed in an ambulance after my bike crashes I remember taking an Evil Knievel jump off a homemade ramp with my green Schwinn 5 Speed with banana seat and High handelbar (it was soooo cool). At any rate, in mid air, I suddenly had my handelbars high in the air... but they were no longer attached to my bike. That hurt. But not as bad as when I lost the front wheel in mid flight. Gosh I loved that bike
But I never got an ambulance. Geez.
My cousin wasn't so lucky. He was a year older than me. He was hit broadside when he was nine by a car doing 30mph. It was fast enough to take his life. I have a very difficult time going to his house. My aunt and uncle still live there. I talked to him once, but it was very garbled, mushy, emotional. It was more a feeling than direct communication. One of being lost. I tried to calm him. I think he made the jump though.
The Indians really have something. Christians, on the other hand, are tought by the church that talking about or to spirits is wrong. Or silly. But the still talk in tongues and talk to their Saints. Kind of a conflict there. I am a christian. A very strong one. But I have my problems with the church as an institution most of the time.
As far as 13 goes, I usually have a normal day. The number just makes me uneasy. Speaking of numbers, 0.007 or a derivitive thereof is found in most technical formulas when dealing with technology. Be it analogue or digital technology.
As an aside, 5 is a great number. Unless three of them are children who can't remember where the dirty cloths hamper is!
cya!
