i'm new to this site, but i have much experience and knowledge with/about ghosts, especially when i was younger.
To comment on this topic, Ghosts aren't only attached to people and places, they can also be attached to an object. There is a possibility that you can sense spirits and the ones in your new house are new spirits. But if you have a vibe like it is the same one and you can't get it to leave, you might want to think about what old hierlooms you have had since your old house and brought with you. Even an old jewelry box from a garage sale can have an attchment.
Also, shanara mentioned earlier the different types of ghosts (energy that replays itself) when there are "ghosts" of people reinacting their death, things they did daily, or just events that have huge significance. Half of the time it is not really a ghost at all. When something so traumatic happens it can leave an imprint in (time) if thats what you can call it. These imprints can be made from huge trauma,extreme happiness, fear,ect. Our daily lives are not usually significant enough to leave these prints, but in cases like old people in rocking chairs, they just did the same thing in the same spot for so long it left a print. If anyone is familiar with photography, its kind of like leaving the shutter on your camera open for a long periods of time.
I lived with my best friend for awhile when we were teenagers. Here dad was a complete a**hole control freak. He sent her to live with her grandparents (where i stayed with her). We had an entire basement to ourselves. Anyways, she was practically grounded our whole adolecence, so we would just sneak out every night when her grandparents were sleeping. She already did this for years. We starting noticing creaking up the stairs and the upstairs door then upstairs (we also saw shadows of it). We found out that the drama and the intensity of sneaking out for years built up, there was an imprint of herself sneaking out all the time
Sorry that got off subject but i have so much to tell, i'm glad i found this site where i can maybe educate people, and i'm sure learn alot myself.

That's definately true! I've experianced some really odd things walking through antique malls. We'll just wonder around looking at all the odds and ends and get directed to an area that has things in it that peek our interest. Sometimes we would see shades or outlines of people standing near their items.
I remember seeing a serving board at one antique mall and standing behind it was a woman with her hair gathered up into a bun in a pale top. My husband pointed her out to me. I went back and looked and she was standing there watching the crowd go by.
A chair I have in our house I bought and brought home because I loved it so much. After a few days we noticed that you'd get a very cool spot on your leg if you sat in it. Then we noticed the cats chasing something around the house. I think we brought home a little cat with the chair, because on occation we think we can see her. *smiles*
I'm never really alone. *giggles*
