True love
Ok. Now the wife is gone. hahahaha. There are a lot of reasons. My wife is german and we had been in the states for 8 years. Clinton was going into office and the job market wasn't great. My company was taking a turn in a new direction that didn't thrill me. And we mutually thought, "what the hell. Let's give it a whirl". So we sold everything we had and jumped over the pond.
I've never been especially "Homebound". My home is where I hang my hat... or rather where she tells me I can hang my hat. But my family consist of her and my boys. Everyone else comes second.
As far as the job market, they just weached a new unemployment high with ca. 5,2 Million and since the introduction of the Euro, the cost of living has doubled. I have a very good job, but it was not easy. The Germans place a lot of importance on their Apprenticeship and schooling degrees. Most of the schooling in the states is not recognized here. But in their defense, the "Amis" are the same way. My wife is a trained Intensive Care Nurse. In the states she could only work as a nurses aid.
Do I get homesick? Hell yes. I miss my people, our culture, the smell of the breeze off the ocean, and I still have family there (i.e. Mother, Aunts, etc). But I wing it back every now and then and tank up on my roots.
Its been rough and we have our problems, but somehow worth it. We're still together and have a load of memories and experience out of life together. You only get one chance in life. Afterwards its all timeles, semi-transparent, living in other peoples homes or abandoned shacks and you have to get your kicks walking through walls, scaring dogs and setting ambushes on the route to the bathroom

lol, how true, how true. But Georgie Boy is worse. He's making a laughing stock out of us here in Europe.
I just had a premonition of Clinton's ghost wandering the White House... wearing a blue, smeared dress. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Sorry. Had to get that out.

HELP !!!!!
Under "Latest Comments" on the left side, a "Guest" wrote "are there any good spirits out there" and I can't find where they wrote it! I'd like to read more and maybe reply. Got a tip for me?
