Today, 2.3.2007, HelloGhost has a new site at http://www2.helloghost.com. This old site, the one you are reading now, is going to be 'Read Only'. You will not be able to sign up for a new account, but all existing accounts will stay. However, I do encourage you to look at the new site and perhaps join if you're really into the paranormal.

This unit turns certain frequencies into weak electrical sound impulses. The sound is then amplified through a DVR and exported onto a PC. I use a modified freeware program called Audacity that allows me to increase the amplitude, cut/paste, export, and analyze the patterns to compare with known baselines. The box can run without power since it's actually converting power (light), but a second box feeds 1.5 VDC to an optional infrared transmitting LED (to test the unit since having a power light would be dumb..)

Could Your Group Use This Box?
As you can see from the pictures, the box is pretty neat. You can't have mine, but I'll build you one if you want. You have to supply your own DVR or PC, but everything else will come with your unit. (Big black box, small black box, interface cable, battery, software, captured baselines, and even the neat silver carrying case.) Unfortunately it's pretty pricey; 125.00 for parts and labor. It does take some time to build too, especially if I'm currently building one for another group, so if you order one make sure to give me a couple days to complete and ship it. I'll let you know in an email what the time table looks like. Also, we would love to compare captured data. If you get any new baselines that you think others would benefit from, such as ball lightning or other oddities, pass them our way and we'll let everyone know that it came from you or your investigative group.
Since I will be custom building your box, I can't take it back unless it arrives in a non-working state. In that case, I'll send you another one. Don't worry, I'll test it all out before I send it. Also, you can download the Audacity software here to make sure it will work on your system. It is designed for Windows 2000/XP/2003/Live systems. I have also attached three .MP3 files that contain the spectrum for Microwave, 60hz Light, and Infrared so that you can see how they look.
