Let's have an experiment while we're waiting for our ghost friend. One thing that I have had a hard time understanding, is why some cameras can 'see' a ghost while you or I can't. From what I remember, humans can hear sounds from a spectrum of 60 Hz to 60 kHz, and can see somewhere around 400-700 nm (nano meters).
So, what actually goes on that we can't see? A lot of people just don't believe what they can't see, regardless of what you tell them. Look below at the Electromagnetic Spectrum.
We can read above that, just below visible light, is the non-visible light called Infrared radiation. We use Infrared for remote controls, but we can't see it. What if a camera could display the Infrared light that we can't see? Perhaps that would make the possibility of capturing paranormal activities on camera a little more believable to some people. Look below. A perfectly working normal PS2 remote control.

Of course, we can't *see* the light that comes through Infrared, but some cameras can:

So, I guess this proves that it is possible to aquire an image that your normally wouldn't be able to see, and the same can be said for the human eye. Just because you can't see it or understand it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist... Go ahead and try this with your camera and experiment with different remotes!
I hope you enjoyed the experiment. It doesn't stop here, I plan to block all visible light and only allow Infrared. I wonder what, if anything, the camera will display about him then...

Cool Written by Guest on 2005-02-28 20:09:20 great site.....keep up the good work | patty1019 Written by Guest on 2005-02-28 20:09:00 some people like me hear far above and far below the normal range of human hearing. the bell and howell people who did the free hearing test i'd requested were in awe of my hearing range. now if you consider how a crystal radio set works you know the crystal is a crucial ingredient. a crystal has a frequency through it's electric qualities. ?! you say! lol yep, if you take a lamp and cut the plug off and attach the two ends to the opposite ends of a crystal and hit it with a hammer the bulb will light up. saw it in a book on the study of crystals. now the human body has it's own salt level, right. see where i'm going with this? salt itself is a crystal! the electricity in our bodies let alone our brains make it possible to send and receive like a radio and tv! my sister has this ability as do i. our other sister did til she died. both my grandma's had this ability and so did aunts on both sides. now i've wondered why the women? the other day i heard women carry more water in their bodies than men do. could this have something to do with that? could be?! ghosts come to some of us for a reason. some people can live in a house and nothing happen while others live there and ghosts come out of the woodwork so to speak. i'm one of the latter while my husband seems to repel them at times. being former military he's always on guard. one ghost did however grip his shoulder tightly, he's heard children, who couldn't be seen, near a hill crest on his family farm at times, and while with me enjoying lying in our tent breathing the fresh country air, we both heard a horse and rider go right past the tent. my husband was a 4H advisor and horsemanship instructor for 10 yrs. i looked at his face after this happened to see what mine must look like when i experience such. it was funny til he said it wasn't!, lol. the thing was he wasn't on guard but was allowing himself to enjoy the day in the country. he wasn't in a defensive mode. for anyone contemplating hunting ghosts i'd strongly recommend that you protect yourself appropriately. hope to see more updates in the future about your experiments. thanks, patty1019 | steve Written by Guest on 2005-02-28 20:08:36 why not take x rays of a ghost ? I bet you never tried it before let us know if it works . cool idea huh? good luck . | TRP Paranormal Written by Guest on 2005-02-28 20:07:56 Heres an experiment you can try, i have tried it with good results. It is called ITC. I use a video camera set in front of a tv that is on a video input only channel, and feed the camera into the video input of a VCR.Set the camera about 2 feet in front of the tv while on and get a rollong cloud. Then tilt the camera at a 90 degree angle until you get a "slpash "effect and get an " X " formation. The screen will flash quickly. Record ten minutes of this, and then go through the film frame by frame. You'll be surprised at what you see if you have spirit energy in your home. My results are on my page. Good Site, keep it going!! | I'll try it.. Written by rootweb on 2005-02-28 20:08:21 What is your page? I'll put it in my links area... | Show Time! Written by thelostamerican on 2005-03-05 04:23:00 Interesing. By using only the AV Input only on the tv, what you see is the actual tv set electronics running (i.e. Horizontal and Vertical lines being written on the Tube itself. With no video composite signal applied, all you get is static shown. The vertical frequency is approx. 30 Frames per Second. Through interlacing, the frame is drawn twice on the screen- first the odd numbered then the even numbered lines. This interlacing produces a "Flash".... I really wanted to go somewhere with this, I swear. You're using the tv as a camera that takes a picture about 30 times a second... I think. The video camera is recording at a different frequency, though, so you may only get bits and pieces of an actual apparition filmed from the tv....) Ummm..... Check out http://www.ee.washington.edu/conselec/CE/kuhn/ntsc/95x4.htm for tv basics. Its important to eventually figure out why this phenomenon occurs. It has something to do with energy- electricity, electronics, magnetism, crystal oscillators, frequencies. So much is clear. But why? And when that is all done, then explain to me why an apparition can appear on a tv screen when the tv is turned off? (search the ghost sites. There are vaious pics of theses guys.) Let us know what happens! | Neal Written by Guest on 2006-08-11 02:41:22 Hi all. Now I am not disputing the theories of ITC but there is always something that has bothered me about this. I have seen some very impressive pictures of ITC experiments but the human brain will always look find order in chaos. In other words, the brain will look for patterns & shapes that it recognises, for example: humans, faces ect. Are we seing nothing more, appart from the white noise that the TV & camera configuration is generating and the brain is making us see images that are not really there? Just a thought! | Neal Written by RootWeb on 2006-08-14 07:46:23 That's a very good point Neal, normally people that perform these expirements are looking for something. An objective eye or physical evidence is needed. I have never tried this, but it well could be a legit phenomenon that's a result similar to TLA's frequency comment. | Neal Written by thelostamerican on 2006-08-14 14:54:09 You've made a very good point, Neal. It seems to me sometimes that if the people are looking for something, it only compounds the effect of the brain trying to make order out of the chaos. That's not to say that the appearances of faces in tvs or faint voices hidden in the static of a cassette are all figments of the imagination, but one definetly needs to know the background of where it was made and by whom and under what circumstances. You've made an excellent point. tla | jacob baker Written by Guest on 2006-12-04 21:15:59 i am confused | jacob Written by Guest on 2006-12-04 21:17:45 ummmm |
