I think there's been some confusion as to what it is that we do on Hello Ghost, so we thought we'd bring this out in the open. Some time back we received an email from a gentleman regarding some severe haunting problems. I responded to the mailer, as did The Lost American. As it turned out, the visitor wanted us to call him immediately and instruct him on what to do to overcome his issue with his haunting. We did not call him, as we are not ghost hunters and have no experience ridding property of ghosts. We don't know how to make them leave, and we never claimed otherwise. Nonetheless, the visitor emailed us recently and told us in 'non polite' terms that he didn't like us and that he had to move because we wouldn't help him. This guy even threatened to sick some demons on us and called us names.

    RootKitty and I had to move because of a haunting, but we didn't blame it on anyone. Had we chose to call a ghost hunter, we would have; but we didn't. Nor did this visitor. He decided that he'd try to get some amateurs (us) to play the role of professional paranormal investigators.

    Maybe we've got it all wrong. Maybe The Lost American, Patty1019, RootKitty and myself, ought to start some sort of business running around and hunting ghosts. Until we do though, please don't expect us to be able to rid your house of ghosts. All we can do is offer advice, via email or the site, that we've learned and/or heard about. We can't call you and walk you through an exorcism, as we would probably do more harm than good.

    What we're going to do from now on is start referring people to professional investigators. If your haunting is severe enough that you need to contact us about it, it's certainly severe enough to contact the pro's that can most likely help you.

    If the person reading this is the visitor that hates us: I don't doubt for a minute that you actually could sick evil demons on us. We don't much like the idea of having to sprinkle garlic around the house or call a priest to keep the demons away, so I would rather not give you a reason to pursue that route. Although you're welcome to come browse the site anytime you wish, please understand that your opinion has been noted and that we'll try to remind people every so often that we are not ghost hunters. Remember that some of us are in the same predicament that you are!
